PLANNING BOARD

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, April 14 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will receive a presentation on a Phase Zero development plan for Alameda Point and will conduct a public hearing on a proposed Alameda Point wayfinding sign program.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider approving an outline for a request for qualifications and exclusive negotiation agreement for development proposals in two areas of Alameda Point. The council will also consider approval of changes to the Webster Street business improvement area to include Alameda Landing and other Webster Street businesses, and will sign off on its intent to levy assessments on the businesses and hold a public hearing for approval of the levies on June 17. The council will also consider approval of a three-year federal lobbying contract with Akerman, LLP and will receive a presentation on Alameda Municipal Power’s current and planned infrastructure development. Sitting as the Alameda Public Financial Authority, council members will consider technical changes to existing bonds for Alameda Point.

GOLF COMMISSION

The Golf Commission meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in the Ladies Lounge at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex, 1 Clubhouse Memorial Road.

On the agenda: The commission will review and recommend changes to proposed rates for the Mif Albright par 3 golf course. The commission will also discuss meeting procedures.

PUBLIC ART COMMISSION

The Public Art Commission meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in Conference Room 391 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The commission will consider a public art proposal for a digital art mural on the Park Street side of a new Walgreens store. The commission will also consider a public art proposal at Alameda Landing that would put a steel sculpture and light sculptures at Wilver “Willie” Stargell Avenue and Fifth Street.
