PLANNING BOARD

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, September 9 in council chambers at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will hold a public hearing to discuss and accept comments on a draft environmental impact report for proposed development at Alameda Point.

YOUTH ADVISORY COMMISSION

The Youth Advisory Commission meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 10 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The commission will receive a presentation on Alameda Point planning documents; nominate a chair and vice chair; review its bylaws; and receive an update on Alameda County Tobacco Survey results.

LIBRARY BOARD

The Library Board meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 in Conference Room 224 on the second floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider a library strategic plan; consider different styles of light fixtures for the library parking lot; receive are report from Friends of the Alameda Free Library; and take patron comments.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 10 in council chambers at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will receive a report detailing the Alameda Education Foundation’s accomplishments and goals; consider a resolution declaring LGBTQ History Month; discuss a proposal for community engagement toward developing a facilities master plan; consider approval of a trio of strategic goals for 2013-2014; receive a back to school enrollment report; receive a report on the district’s unaudited financials for the 2012-2013 school year; approve a spending limit for the current school year; and discuss options for legal counsel.

AMERICA’S CUP AD HOC COMMITTEE
