PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD

The Public Utilities Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, October 20 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider approving and adopting a ratemaking policy for Alameda Municipal Power. The board will also consider allowing General Manager Glenn Steiger to enter professional services agreements with Leidos Engineering for a targeted metering solution pilot and Ecology Lighting to administer a commercial lighting direct install program. The board will also consider approving a contract with Service Concepts to buy and distribute two light-emitting diode lamps to every residential customer in Alameda.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

The Zoning Administrator meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 21 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The administrator will consider approving a use permit for outdoor seating at a proposed café at 2099 Grand Street.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 21 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider approval of a sewer management plan, introduction of an ordinance amending the city’s sewer lateral testing ordinance and receive a report on a consent decree with the federal government regarding unauthorized discharges into San Francisco Bay. The council will also consider adoption of an ordinance honoring the late City Councilman Hadi Monsef and will conduct a public hearing to consider amendments to action plans for spending federal Community Development Block Grant funds.

SOCIAL SERVICE HUMAN RELATIONS BOARD

The Social Service Human Relations Board meets at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 22 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will receive a report on a plan developed to assist the victims of the September 28 Park Street-area fires and discuss whether to incorporate information gathered at a strategic planning workshop into recommendations to the City Council regarding community needs. The board will also receive an update from its homeless count committee regarding data collected and on next steps to complete the project.
