PLANNING BOARD

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, April 13 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will hold public hearings to consider design review approval of new, rooftop enclosures for AT&T wireless telecommunication antennae on apartment buildings at 1777 Shoreline Drive and 1538 St. Charles Street. The board will also conduct a study session regarding final development plan and design review for a proposed 99-room hotel at 2350 Harbor Bay Parkway. The board will also hold a public hearing to consider approval of a transportation demand management plan for the Marina Shores housing development at 1551 Buena Vista Avenue. Staff has asked that a public hearing to consider development of 58 attached townhomes on a 2.78-acre site at 2100 Clement Street be postponed until April 27.

CITY OF ALAMEDA HEALTH CARE DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The City of Alameda Health Care District Board of Directors meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 13 in the Dal Cielo Conference Room on the second floor of Alameda Hospital, 2070 Clinton Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider reducing its meeting scheduled to every other month in 2016. The board will also consider authorizing the district clerk to set up telecommunications services at the district’s office space, 888 Willow Street. The board will also consider whether to pay to send one or two representatives to the Association of California Health Care Districts’ annual meeting. The board will also receive Alameda Health System and Alameda Hospital updates.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider authorizing the issuance of $90 million in bonds to fund school construction projects and refinancing up to $3.5 million in existing bonds. The board will also consider approving a declaration stating a need for qualified teachers, which will ease approval of emergency permits for teachers who have not fully met credentialing requirements. The board will also receive a report on a proposed calendar for adoption of the district’s 2015-16 budget and adopt a proclamation recognizing Earth Week and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and receive the district’s annual energy consumption report.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will receive a summary of the proposed city budget for 2015-16 and 2016-17.
