COMMISSION ON DISABILITY ISSUES

The Commission on Disability Issues meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 23 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will conduct an election of officers and receive a presentation from a representative of the Center for Independent Living. The board will also discuss goals and objectives for 2015, receive an update on a planned universal design ordinance, and receive reports on recent City Council and Planning Board meetings.

PLANNING BOARD

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, February 23 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider a final development plan and conduct a design review on a proposed hotel at 2350 Harbor Bay Parkway. The board will also hold a public workshop on a proposed development for Site A, a 68-acre waterfront parcel at Alameda Point anticipated to hold 800 new homes, shops, parks and a new ferry terminal.

PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD

The Public Utilities Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, February 23 in Conference Room A/B at the Alameda Municipal Power Service Center, 2000 Grand Street.

On the agenda: The board will hold discussions on a proposed electric vehicle policy and rates and a proposed community solar subscriber program. The board will also consider authorizing five new job positions.

SUCCESSOR AGENCY OVERSIGHT BOARD

The Successor Agency Oversight Board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider increasing a contract with Keyser Marston Associates, for financial services, to $277,500, a $78,500 increase.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will decide whether to maintain its two comprehensive high schools or build a new one. The board will also receive a report on the Local Control Accountability Plan process and conduct a Season of Nonviolence reading.

TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND PLANNING BOARD

The Transportation Commission and Planning Board will hold a joint meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 25 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue. The City Council will also be in attendance.

On the agenda: The commission will provide feedback on the recommended approach to a citywide transportation delivery strategy. The commission will also consider approval of the preliminary design for a Cross Alameda Trail Segment on Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway between Webster and Main streets. The commission and Planning Board will also consider approval of a grant application for a multimodal regional connections project at Alameda Point. The commission will also receive a presentation on the development plan for Site A at Alameda Point, including an initial discussion of the transportation demand management strategy.

SOCIAL SERVICE HUMAN RELATIONS BOARD
