TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND PLANNING BOARD

The Transportation Commisison and the Planning Board are having a special joint meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, September 30 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The commission and board will review and comment on a draft regional transportation strategy to support development at Alameda Point, Alameda Landing and the Northern Waterfront and also, on a list of Alameda Point planning documents that includes a transportation demand management plan, planning guide, draft master infrastructure plan and conveyance map.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

The Zoning Administrator meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The Zoning Administrator will consider approval of a use permit for a 300 square foot day spa at 1512 Webster Street.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider reducing membership on the city’s Commission on Disability Issues and dissolving the city’s Economic Development Commission and replacing it with ad hoc committees and task forces and an economic advisory panel. The council will also consider leases at Alameda Point for North American Van Lines and Turn Key Show Productions. The council will also vote on increasing basic life service ambulance transport and pursuing funding for an automated license plate recognition system.

CIVIL SERVICE BOARD

The Civil Service Board meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 2 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will review eligible lists for various positions and hiring and separation activity.

HISTORICAL ADVISORY BOARD

The Historical Advisory Board meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 3 in council chambers at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider permitting alterations at 1516 Oak Street that include new windows, a new exit door and new rear deck and stairway. The board will also discuss planning and preservation issues at Alameda Point.
