The Agenda: Estuary Park plan, disaster planning update and more

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will receive an update on the city’s disaster preparedness and Community Emergency Response Team activities and will hold public hearings to consider adopting expenditure plans for federal Community Development Block Grant money for social services and also, levying an assessment on businesses in the Park Street Business Improvement Area.

ALAMEDA HEALTH CARE DISTRICT BOARD

The Alameda Health Care District Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 in the Dal Cielo Conference Room on the second floor of Alameda Hospital, 2070 Clinton Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider nominations to the Alameda Health System board of trustees and board committees; approve revisions to the structure and purpose of its community outreach committee; consider a recommendation to create a subcommittee to discuss financial and quality reporting from Alameda Health System; and consider approval of a revision to the hospital's signature authority policy.

RESTORATION ADVISORY BOARD

The Restoration Advisory Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8 in Room 140 of City Hall West, 950 West Mall Square, Alameda Point.

On the agenda: The board will receive a presentation on the design of treatment for contaminated groundwater on a site labeled Operative Unit 2B. The board will also discuss the date and locations for the Navy’s upcoming annual tour.

RECREATION AND PARK COMMISSION

The Recreation and Park Commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The commission will receive a presentation on Mastick Senior Center programs; review and comment on a draft Alameda Point waterfront town center plan; review and comment on a conceptual design for Estuary Park; and review and comment on a portion of the Cross Alameda Trail to be situated in the Jean Sweeney Open Space Park.
