PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD

The Public Utilities Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, March 17 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will receive an update to installing electrical service and streetlights on Alameda Point; review a search brochure for a permanent general manager for Alameda Municipal Power; receive a presentation on the 10 year pro forma for Alameda Municipal Power; and discuss installation of advanced metering in new developments.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

The Zoning Administrator meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The Zoning Administrator will consider granting use permits for a yoga and martial arts studio at 1502 Park Street and to legitimize an existing residential property at 920 Central Avenue.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 at council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council is set to consider approval of a land and cash deal with the Alameda Housing Authority and Alameda Unified School District, acceptance of a financial plan for a new Fire Station 3. The council will also consider amending Alameda Point leases for Complete Coach Works and Margaret Su; and also, expanding the West End Business Improvement District to include the Alameda Landing Shopping Center, Aqua Tech, Mariner Square Athletic Club and businesses in the Webster Square shopping center and establishing a surcharge for large retail establishments. As the Successor Agency to the Community Improvement Commission, the council will consider authorizing the expenditure of $258,000 to pay for a crosswalk at Wilver “Willie” Stargell Avenue and Webster Street and accepting audited financial statements and compliance reports for 2012-13 and second quarter financial reports.
