Hey everyone: We've gotten a few questions and have been asking around about the Golf Commission item regarding a possible name change at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex. Here's the deal, per ARPD director Amy Wooldridge: A golfer proposed changing the name to make it more clear where the golf complex is; they wanted a hybrid of the Chuck Corica name with something "Alameda"-oriented added. Staff didn't recommend the change and the commission opted Tuesday not to pursue one.
