PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD

The Public Utilities Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, May 19 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider establishing a pilot program to allow city departments, nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses to include inserts with Alameda Municipal Power bills. The board will also consider a list of projects to be funded by $7.2 million in renewable energy credit sales. The board will also consider approving and recommending the City Council approve an amendment to its metered subsystem aggregator agreement with the Northern California Power Association.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education will hold a workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 in the Alameda High School cafeteria, 2201 Encinal Avenue (enter on Central Avenue side).

On the agenda: The board will discuss a prioritization and implementation plan for its facilities master plan.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider approval of an $80,000 contract with Vigilant Solutions to purchase four automated license plate reader systems. The council will also consider approval of a transportation demand management plan for Alameda Point. The council will also consider appointing Cheryl Saxton to the Golf Commission, approving a memorandum of understanding with a new bargaining unit for management workers at Alameda Municipal Power and also, a compensation agreement with unrepresented managers at the utility. The council will also consider amending Artemis Racing’s lease at Alameda Point and initiating proceedings to increase assessments in the Island Lighting and Landscaping District, to receive the annual report for the district and to collect the levies.
