PENSION BOARD

The Pension Board meets at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 27 in Conference Room 391 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will receive pension payroll and financial reports for the quarter ending on March 31, 2015. The board will also receive a memo on the death of a 1079 pensioner.

COMMISSION ON DISABILITY ISSUES

The Commission on Disability Issues meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 27 in Conference Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The commission will receive an annual review of the city’s paratransit program. The commission will also consider goals and objectives for 2014 and receive reports from Planning Board and City Council meetings.

PLANNING BOARD

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday, April 27 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will conduct a public workshop on proposed redevelopment of Site A at Alameda Point, including an updated draft development plan and density bonus waiver, conditions of approval, a draft transportation demand management plan compliance strategy and a draft development agreement. Staff has asked that a public hearing on a proposed development at 2100 Clement Avenue and a final development plan and major design review for a proposed building at 2810 Harbor Bay Parkway be continued to future hearings.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider adopting a resolution to send the statement of results for the Measure I election and sending it to the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools and the clerk of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. The board will also consider establishing a bond oversight committee. The board will also consider authorizing the submission of an application to seek ownership of the former Miller School site to re-establish as district school sites. The board will also receive reports on Measure A parcel tax allocations for the 2015-16 school year and an energy conservation, efficiency and generation plan. The board will also receive a proclamation pertaining to the district’s vision for science education.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will receive presentations from two firms to discuss their qualifications and the process for recruiting a new city manager. The council will also consider adopting contract extensions for the city’s four public safety unions. The council will also receive presentations from different city departments on their budget proposals for 2015-16 and 2016-17.
