RENT REVIEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Rent Review Advisory Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday, January 5 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The committee will consider a rent increase case at 314 Central Avenue and seven rent increase cases on the 100 block of Crolls Garden Court. The committee will also designate representatives to attend a community rents meeting on January 20.

CITY COUNCIL

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 6 in Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider rescinding an agreement and plan to redevelop the Del Monte warehouse into housing and commercial space. The council will also consider introduction of an ordinance approving a lease with an option to purchase for Wrightspeed, Inc. for Building 41 at 650 West Tower Avenue, Alameda Point. The council will also consider accepting an $80,000 grant from the state Department of Boating & Waterways for a patrol boat and boat trailer. The council will also consider authorizing a 10-year agreement with the state Office of Emergency Services allowing the agency to use one of Alameda’s fire engines for statewide mutual response. The council will also consider council referrals asking the full council to authorize city staff to review suggestions to provide traffic relief on Island Drive; conduct a consultant study into the feasibility of a wetland mitigation bank at Alameda Point; install flashing pedestrian crossing signs on Mecartney Road at Maitland Drive and Belmont Place; work with the East Bay Regional Park District to acquire Neptune Pointe for expansion of Crab Cove; and create a comprehensive transit/traffic strategic plan and implementation tool.

CIVIL SERVICE BOARD

The Civil Service Board meets at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 7 in Room 360 on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The board will consider a report detailing employment activity for the city between September 1 and November 30, 2014.

RESTORATION ADVISORY BOARD

The Restoration Advisory Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 8 in Suite 140 at City Hall West, 950 West Mall Square, Alameda Point.

On the agenda: The board will receive information about a remedial investigation and feasibility study for cleanup activities at Site 32 and a remedial action completion report for Site 2.

RECREATION AND PARK COMMISSION

On the agenda: The commission will receive a presentation on Mastick Senior Center and an update on park projects.
