Rent Review Advisory Committee

The Rent Review Advisory Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday, July 1 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The committee will hear a pair of new rent cases, at 430 Central Avenue and 1645 Park Street. The committee will also review correspondence regarding cases at 2045 Clinton Avenue and 22 San Antonio Avenue.

City Council

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

On the agenda: The council will consider approval of trash collection rate increases of 6 percent, with additional increases for some customers. The council will also consider rules permitting cottage food operations to align with a new state law allowing them, and a five-year license agreement to allow Antiques By the Bay to continue operating their monthly antique fair at Alameda Point. The council will also consider adopting a resolution in support of a bill by Assembly members Nancy Skinner and Rob Bonta that would increase vehicle registration fees to fund efforts to fight vehicle theft, and another commending retired Alameda Police Chief Michael C. Noonan for his service to the city.
