Saturday was a cold, clear night, and a pretty good breeze was blowing down the Oakland/Alameda Estuary, too. But that didn't keep the lighted boats from entertaining spectators on both the Alameda and Oakland waterfronts in this year's Lighted Yacht Parade!

The grand prize this year went to Boundless, owned by Cliff and Anna Kramer. First place awards went to Joan Lunderville's Coda in the power boat division, Kyle Siler's Island Dreamer for the best sailboat, and Carl Larkin leading the women's rowing team, the Kelpies. (Yes, there were boats being ROWED up and down the freezing cold estuary; perhaps they were the warmest of anyone given the effort they had to put out.)

Instead of a lot more words, I'm going to give you some photos. Unfortunately, I do not know which boat is which since the announcers were far away from my end-of-the-dock vantage point at Marina Village Yacht Harbor, but you'll get an idea of the effort that these individuals, organizations and clubs put into their entries. (Hot mulled wine and a Crock Pot full of soup were much appreciated after our time outside taking these pictures for you.)
