The Agenda: Cancellations and a committee meeting

Michele Ellson

For the week of March 25

This week's agenda includes some cancellations and a pair of committee meetings.

The Planning Board, Economic Development Commission and Transportation Commission have all cancelled meetings scheduled for this week, according to the city's website and a Planning Board member we contacted for a copy of this week's agenda. The Board of Education, which would have been scheduled to meet this week, held its meeting last Tuesday to avoid meeting on Passover.

City Council/Board of Education subcommittee

That said, a subcommittee consisting of members of the Board of Education and City Council will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 to discuss swimming pools, which the school district owns and the city operates. Both the school district and the city have the item listed; the meeting will be held in Room 360 at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

Commission on Disability Issues

The Commission on Disability Issues has put together a special work group to look at ways universal design could be incorporated into future development projects. The design concept seeks to make housing more accessible to seniors and people with disabilities. The work group meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 25 in Room 360 at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue; their agenda is here.
