The City has posted a spreadsheet showing total compensation for City employees in 2012: http://alamedaca.gov/sites/default/files/document-files/calendar_year_20.... It is interesting to compare the "top 10" on that list to the State Controller's list.

Is there a difference in pay based on gender? For example, the average pay in the library is $27,314 while in the fire department it is $105,516. I would be interested in seeing the overall average pay for female and male workers.

Hey Steve - the spreadsheet Bob linked has everyone's name on it, so that info could probably be generated.

Thanks for the link! According to the spreadsheet, of those with total compensation above $200,000 a year, almost 90 percent appear to be men.
