What a percentage of uninsured! Is this health insurance, automobile insurance, homeowners' insurance, or something else or a combination thereof? This is probably a useless statistic (as are most).

Note that there are more renters than homeowners in our town. In Alameda County, we are second only to Berkeley with regard to the percentage of renters to the general population, and at more than 50% at that. I find this to be upsetting, especially considering the current City Council's intent of providing even more rental housing in a place already subsumed by renters. Renters are not evil, but should not constitute the majority this city.

What hath the Navy wrought on us in the 1930s and 1940s?

Hey Ken - that's health insurance. Sorry that wasn't clearer!
