Letters to the Editor: AEF Adopt-a-Classroom Update

Dear Editor,

The Alameda Education Foundation’s (AEF) Adopt A Classroom empowers Alameda public school teachers by providing $500 donations directly to classroom teachers. AEF has set a goal of 130 Adopt A Classroom donations for the 2012-2013 school year. I’m happy to report that as of November 2012, we have reached 70% of our goal! Thank you to the following donors:

Adoptions were made at the following schools: Alameda High, Bay Farm, Earhart, Edison, Encinal High, Franklin, Haight, Lincoln Middle, Lum, Maya Lin, Nea, Otis, Paden, Ruby Bridges, and Wood Middle.

AEF is actively seeking additional Adopt A Classroom donations. Undirected donations that do not specify a teacher are especially encouraged and will be directed to teachers most in need throughout Alameda. To make a donation, please visit http://www.alamedaeducation.org.
