How do these numbers compare to the district schools?
Good question, I was thinking about that last night as well. Ed-Data has ethnic breakdown of district as a whole from 11-12 as 30 percent Asian, 29.7 percent white, 14.8 percent Hispanic/Latino, 11.6 percent African American, 7.9 percent Filipino, 1.2 percent Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, 0.5 percent Native American/Alaska Native, 3.9 percent two or more races. It says 22.3 percent of students are English learners. California Department of Ed says we had 1,115 Special Ed students last year, which is about 10.5 percent of the total listed there. I'll have to dig for those last two numbers; stay tuned.
