UPDATED: Alameda development map

UPDATED: Alameda development map

Michele Ellson

An eagle-eyed regular reader who noticed that we hadn't updated our development map since December asked if we could revise and repost it. Well, ask and ye shall receive. Here's an update of our popular map, along with an updated chart (attached) listing developments that are both proposed and in progress as well as sites that could someday hold housing.

The newly updated map lists some new hotel and office developments proposed for Bay Farm Island and plans for an affordable housing complex on the old Island High School site on Eagle Avenue. As a bonus, we've also attached the city's list of homebuilding projects that in the development pipeline, which spell out how many homes are expected to be built and when.

If you've got any suggested additions or improvements, feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line, at michele@thealamedan.org. Otherwise, enjoy!

I don't know which I'm more impressed with; the usefulness of the map or the evolving traffic nightmare it indicates.

I always thought the VA would break ground before anyone else. Now I'm not so sure. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/va-building-projects-riddled-with...
